As a life-long native of Michigan, Mary has
always been exposed to the farms and natural beauty of the state and
its waterways. As an avid student of charcoals and ink drawings, she
attended Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, completing her degree in art. There she studied line perspective and oil painting in detail. She has since sold her prints to many shops, museums, and art lovers.
Today, Mary, along with her husband Tom, lives in Leelanau County. Mary's store overlooks the harbor in beautiful Leland, MI. This gives Mary an opportunity to use a variety of subjects in
her work drawing inspiration from Fishtown, the beaches, and area wildlife. Her style ranges from whimsical to surreal.
